Meet Edie and Dunbar Brooks
"We have a very stable community with plenty of water, Fleming Beach and a Community Garden" - Edie
Dunbar: “This is a great place to raise a family wherein there are a lot of hidden treasures. In terms of housing, Dundalk has better price points.”
Occupation: Edie has been a registered nurse at the University of Maryland Hospital for 32 years and Dunbar is a Regional Planner for the Baltimore Metropolitan Council and serves on the Maryland Board of Education. He is a past Chairman of the Baltimore County School Board.
Home: Turner Station, Dundalk’s oldest neighborhood, circa 1898
Favorite things: Accessibility! 6-7 minutes to Baltimore City, 15 minutes to Canton. Our neighbors and how they look out for one another. 64 miles of waterfront in Turner Station.
Edie and Dunbar live in a beautiful home just two doors down from where Edie grew up - and where her Grandmother still resides. They are both very active within the community. The Fleming Center which opened in 2000 has created momentum for an exciting community conservation plan. All of their children are college graduates.
