Green Your School

The Maryland Green School Awards program, administered by the Maryland Association for Environmental & Outdoor Education (MAEOE – link), is a holistic program focused on engaging school communities in environmental education throughout their curriculum and operations. Seven Dundalk schools have already completed certification at least once to be awarded the title of Maryland Green School: Dundalk Elementary School (2008), Dundalk Middle School (2006), Dundalk High School (2006), Eastwood Elementary Magnet School (2009), Berkshire Elementary School (2006), Norwood Elementary School (2008)and Logan Elementary School (2010).

How the DRC Can Help:

The Dundalk Renaissance Corporation has a commitment to both our local schools and the environmental restoration of our area as part of our overall mission of revitalization in the Greater Dundalk Area.  DRC offers opportunities both through relevant community service projects in the area as well as the potential for partnerships with schools on projects related to greening and Maryland Green School certification.  For example, we have helped arrange for teacher trainings contributing toward ongoing environmental education in our community and schools' Green School recertification.
