This is the celebration that everyone remembers and loves – whether it’s from just last year, or from childhood Christmases long past. With Main Street lights and bows setting a holiday mood, the Hoopla starts at 4 pm, with the traditional Christmas parade and Santa and Mrs. Claus as the finale. They'll settle into their special stage in Heritage Park, for as long as the lineup requires, to hear each child's wish list and give out a sweet treat.
The Center Place Street Fair is filled with activity, from the moon bounce, Bubbles the Clown and caricaturists to the Baltimore County Bookmobile and live steel band music. Truly something for everyone!
The Cookie Tour in the Main Street businesses wraps up the Hoopla, and over 5,000 home-baked treats by the Baking Brigade will go home with local families.
The train garden at the Dundalk-Patapsco Neck Historical Society and Museum is also up and running, and is open at noon – located in front of Historic Main Street, it’s the perfect complement to a delightful day of holiday activity and lasting memories.
Dundalk Renaissance Corporation creates this annual free community event, and special recognition goes to the Eastern Regional Lions Club for their generous support for this day. Thanks to the Dundalk-Eastfield Rec Council for again organizing the parade and arranging for Santa and Mrs. Claus, as well as the attendant reindeer, to be available despite their formidable workload still to be finished at the North Pole.
