DRC ANNUAL MEETING

We invite you to join us for our Annual Meeting onWednesday, September 15, 2010 at our office on 11 Center Place, beginning at 5:30 pm. We'll view new images of Sparrows Point, celebrate our accomplishments and the contributions of our board members and volunteers, and get your feedback on our next steps.
Starting at 5:30pm, the evening will include:
* An Opening Recrption for "In the Mill", an exhibit at our office of photographs by William Goodman with an introduction of Bill Barry, director of CCBC's Labor Studies Program, followed by a presentation by Mr. Goodman about his work.
* Refreshments including wine, beer and snacks
Starting at 7 pm, the business portion of our annual meeting will begin, including:
* Brief updates on DRC's activities and projects for the coming year
* Election of DRC's 2011 Board of Directors
* Discussion and vote on proposed updates to DRC's bylaws, informed by our organization's recent strategic planning process.
We are pleased to announce the nominees for our 2011 Board of Directors: Continuing board members are Rick Sheckells, in charge of environmental initiatives for the Maryland Port Administration and Gayle Adams, who directs community relations for the Johns Hopkins Bayview Medical Center. New to our board is nominee Linda Bryan, Community Outreach Coordinator for Ports America Chesapeake. All other members of DRC's board, has staggered terms and are not up for election this year. As always, additional Board nominations by current DRC members are welcome at the meeting.
We hope to see you here on September 15th! All current paid members are entitled to vote on our board nominees and proposed bylaw changes. Thanks for supporting our community's revitalization!
