Think up creative and engaging ideas for events that bring people together in our Main Street-- be they Outdoor Movies, a Fall Festival, a Holiday Lighting Ceremony and Cookie Tour. People of all ages and abilities.
Heavy Lifters:
We also need volunteers to help set up for events and transport equipment, some of which is heavy, so we could use a hand and would appreciate it if you let us know if we can call on you as a "Heavy Lifter"!
Event Staffing:
Helping set up and staff information tables at our events, or providing logistical support on the day of an event to make sure it runs smoothly. Anyone with modest physical ability, some people skills may be required.
Greening Committee and Plantings
Committee Members:
Plan out future planting dates, discuss new initiatives to raise environmental consciousness and encourage better stewardship of our parks and waterfront.
Tree Survey Crew:
Spend time in local parks this summer. Volunteers attend a brief training and then are able to survey the trees in our parks on their own schedule this summer. We will use this information to develop next year's planting plan and better understand the state of Dundalk's urban forests.
Delivery Truck Corps:
We need people with pick-up trucks who can be on call to help deliver trees to individual street addresses once they've arrived from the nursery on weekdays and Saturday mornings. Lift them into and out of your truck with other volunteers. Requires moderate strength.
Planting Hole Diggers:
Dig holes for trees and shrubs, using tools such a pickaxes and shovels. People young and old can participate with modest physical ability. "Powerhouse" diggers welcome! Use our tools and gloves, or bring your own.
Hole Fillers and Mulchers:
As part of a planting team, use a shovel to put the dirt back in the hole around the tree and spread mulch. Lower body impact than digging the holes.
Watering and Pruning Corps:
Because maintenance is key to a tree's survival, help water trees planted in their first two years, and help prune trees to ensure they reach their full potential.
Community Clean-ups:
Join your neighbors in picking up litter from our streets, parks, and storm drain areas.
Marketing Committee
Committee Members:
Help with developing co-branding opportunities for local businesses and recruiting businesses to participate; planning events in greater Dundalk that promote our businesses and neighborhoods; assist in identifying retailers to recruit to Dundalk and match with appropriate commercial sites; create ideas for ways to re-brand our

Membership Committee
Committee Members:
Passionate about building up DRC's base of supporters? Become an ambassador for our organization and our community, help us boost our membership, increase our reach in the greater Dundalk area, develop vehicles for better communication to solicit feedback and ideas from the community, and expand our sources of financial support to continue our revitalization work.
