County Invites Residents to Housing Resource Day
Baltimore County will sponsor an important housing event to provide county residents and prospective county residents with accurate home buying information and guidance. Housing Resource Day will be held on:
Saturday, September 19, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the
Towson National Guard Armory, 307 Washington Avenue, Baltimore, MD 21204.
Free Event
The free event is open to people who are interested in improving their housing conditions through either renting or buying in Baltimore County, with an emphasis on buying. Attendees will have access to services and information from various exhibitors and vendors. An exciting highlight of the event will be two $10,000 drawings in which the funds will assist home buyers with meeting closing costs.

The Settlement Expense Loan Program (Baltimore County)
Mortgage Assistance Loan Program (State of Maryland)
Establishing and Managing Credit
Foreclosure Prevention
Avoiding Predatory Lending
Homelessness Prevention

The event will also provide information that promotes environmentally friendly building products and resources. The county's Resource Guide for Individuals with Disabilities will be available from the Baltimore County Commission on Disabilities.
For renters, information on establishing good credit and lowering energy costs will be available. All attendees are asked to pre-register by calling 410-887-3124, though registration is not required.
