Spring is a Neighborhood Thing

Our Focus Neighborhoods (Old Dundalk, Dun-Logan, St. Helena, Turner Station and Graceland Park) each boast an active neighborhood association and a core group of residents who turn out regularly for events and community projects. Spring cleanup season has arrived!

St. Helena has their annual Project Clean Stream Clean-Up on Sat., April 6, from 8 am – noon. Start with a light breakfast, end with a nice lunch, and supplies are provided. Meet at the Community Center, 6509 Colgate Ave., 21222 and join in with this great group of volunteers. If you’re a gardener, opt for weeding their garden and prepping it for planting!

Old Dundalk will hold their neighborhood clean-up and dumpster day on Sat., May 4, meeting at 7 am in the parking lot across from Graceway Church, 2660 Yorkway, 21222. You’ll be part of very welcome, noticeable results in this charming area! (Check out the progress at the new Dundalk Elementary School, opening this fall.) Supplies are provided for you.

Dun-Logan Association is partnering with Rebuilding Baltimore on Sat., April 27 for a volunteer day. Meet at 9 am at the American Legion, 3300 Dundalk Ave. to help take care of your neighborhood! If you need more info, please email [email protected]

Turner Station will have a clean-up on Sat., April 27, beginning at 8 am – their Fleming Park Shoreline Clean-up! Help make this beautiful part of the community even more so, and enjoy the waterfront as well. Supplies are provided, and the location is across the back field from the Fleming Senior Center, 641 Main St., 21222.

Read more about our Focus Neighborhoods, and watch our Facebook page and this website – we’ve got An Evening of Jazz in Turner Station on Sat., April 13, a Pinland Meet and Greet for Old Dundalk on Sunday afternoon, June 2, and more neighborhood activities to report.
