Download the Press Release (PDF)

The Renaissance Milestone Awards were established to recognize the contributions of the many people, businesses, and institutions that help make this revitalization possible. We are pleased to announce the honorees for our 10th Dundalk Renaissance Milestone Awards event:

The 2019 “Renaissance Cornerstone Award,” will be presented to Key Brewing in recognition of the many ways their Dundalk-based brewery and its marketing efforts have contributed to greater visibility and a fun, playful image for our community that appeals to current residents and helps us attract the next generation.

Three 2019 “Renaissance Milestone Awards” will also be presented by Dundalk Renaissance to community and business leaders for their roles in nurturing Dundalk’s healthy and vibrant future:

  • Larry Bannerman – for his leadership and advocacy with the Turner Station Conservation Teams in promoting and improving Turner Station, greater Dundalk, and our environment.
  • Tammy Tricario — for her promotion and support of multiple charitable efforts benefitting individuals and organizations in greater Dundalk as Manager of Pinland Bowling on Dundalk Ave.
  • David Grosscup – Maryland Professional Karate Association, for his mentorship of many young people in our community over the years.

We are also presenting four 2019 Renaissance Gemstone Awards to students who have made a difference in our community.
The Gemstone Awardees will be announced in the upcoming month.

“Our 2019 Milestone honorees demonstrate the wide range of ways that individuals and businesses make Dundalk a better place for us all and contribute to a vibrant future. I am so proud and inspired by their example,” said Executive Director Amy Menzer. Nominations for this year’s awards were solicited from the public through the Dundalk Eagle, DRC’s Facebook page, website, and email newsletter.

About the Dundalk Renaissance Milestone Awards:

The Dundalk Renaissance Milestone Awards recognize individuals, businesses, institutions, and groups that have contributed to Dundalk’s revitalization and building our future. We also honor with our Gemstone Awards up to 5 young people attending our area high schools or CCBC-Dundalk, with accomplishments that have made Dundalk a stronger community.

To date, the Milestone Awards have honored 44 community and business leaders, and the 2019 honorees will join this respected list of change makers. Nominees may self-nominate or be nominated by another person. Nominees must live, work, or participate in activities that serve the Dundalk area (zip code 21222, County 21224) and exhibit leadership and commitment in furthering the values of Dundalk Renaissance: Neighborliness, Innovation, Heritage, Diversity, Opportunity, Sustainability, Engagement, and Unity.

The Renaissance Milestone Awards Ceremony will be held on Friday, March 22, 2019 at the Community College of Baltimore County – Dundalk. Honorees will participate in a celebratory program, be recognized for their dedication and commitment to Dundalk, and share a delicious dinner with friends, family, colleagues, community and business leaders. Please join us at the event!

Thank you for helping us shine a light on those working to build a better Dundalk!
