We’re excited to welcome Lisa Wright to our team as our new housing counselor. Lisa will assist Sonya Dease, our housing and financial counselor, in our housing initiatives work.  She will be available for one-on-one counseling; help manage our Dundalk-wide grant program and assist in our home buyer education classes.

When asked why she wanted to join our team, Lisa said “I loved the Dundalk Renaissance mission: Mobilizing people to invest in greater Dundalk neighborhoods and quality of life.” Lisa wants to help individuals and families purchase homes and stay in them.

“I love the feeling of helping individuals and families to become self-sufficient, empowered, to obtain and reach goals and then celebrate in their success,” Lisa said.

“Lisa’s friendly and kind personality adds to our mission-driven team,” Tasha Gresham-James, executive director said. “Lisa’s experience in inspections and family stability are key assets for our community.”

Lisa comes to us with over 20 years of housing experience.  What started as a receptionist role at Anne Arundel County Housing Commission led to a lifelong passion of helping people get housed and stay housed. Lisa previously worked as a housing coordinator and has experience with housing voucher programs which led to her assisting Memphis, Tennessee Housing Authority and Los Angeles Housing Authority, working with their voucher programs.  When she’s not at work, Lisa enjoys spending time with her family and traveling to warmer beach-front destinations.
