Valerie E. Rivera-Maldonado will help plan and implement the main programs at Dundalk Renaissance.

Before joining Dundalk Renaissance, Valerie was a Program Assistant at Leadership Howard County. In her position, she worked with community leaders at Howard County in the two primary programs, Leadership Premier and Leadership U, creating social awareness in this county. In 2021, she was a client services representative and coordinator for the diabetes self-management and minority outreach programs at the Esperanza Center with Catholic Charities of Baltimore. She served as a client advocate and managed, designed, and implemented the programs.

Valerie brings experience serving vulnerable populations in Puerto Rico. She was an outreach and enrollment specialist at Alight Solutions in San Juan, where she helped patients enroll in healthcare plans that met complex medical needs. She also held sales associate positions in San Juan.

She holds an MBA in human resources from the Interamerican University of Puerto Rico and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from the University of Puerto Rico Rio Piedras Campus.
